RECYCLING WILL NOW BE COLLECTED EVERY OTHER WEEK STARTING THE WEEK OF DECEMBER 31, 2018. CLICK THE LINK UNDER "PUBLIC WORKS DOCUMENTS" ON THE RIGHT TO VIEW OR PRINT THE NEW SCHEDULE.
Interstate Waste is Ringwood's solid waste and recycling contractor. Residential solid waste curbside collection is once a week. Recycling curbside collection is twice per month during the first and third full weeks of each month. Recycling and garbage questions or concerns should be directed to Interstate Waste at (866) 342-5497 or the Ringwood Recycling Department at (973) 475-7179.
The Borough also owns and operates our own Recycling Center located at the end of Peter's Mine Road (off Margaret King Aevnue). Recycling Center hours are Saturdays and Sundays 9:00 am - 5:00 pm and Wednesday 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm. See attached list for recyclable items accepted at the Recycling Center. Christmas trees must be brought to the Recycling Center during the month of January only.
Interstate Waste provides curbside leaf pickup once a week during the months of April, May, October and November. During these weeks, leaf pickup starts on Monday and continues throughout the week. A curbside heavy metal pickup service is also available through the Borough by appointment.
