Q: What is the procedure for fingerprinting of people who are not under arrest?
A: Non-criminal fingerprinting is routinely done for certain types of employment (education, real estate, etc) and for the application to purchase firearms. Non-criminal fingerprinting by the Ringwood Police is for RINGWOOD RESIDENTS ONLY and is performed by the Patrol Division when they are clear of any police emergency.
Q: How do I obtain a copy of a Motor Vehicle Accident Report?

Q: How do I obtain a copy of a Police Report?
A: Reports are usually available 7 days after the incident has occured. They cannot be faxed, and MUST be picked up in person at Police headquarters. Call the Police Records Bureau Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at (973) 475-7136 to obtain information about receiving a copy of your police report.
Q. How do I obtain a Firearms Identification Card or Purchase Permit?

Q. How to obtain a permit for the Ringwood Park and Ride?
A: Fill out our Park & Ride Application. The form and appropriate fee should be mailed or brought into the Borough Clerk's office during normal business hours. Any questions, please call (973) 475-7106.
Q. How to obtain a temporary handicap placard and is there a fee?
A: For application, please use the link https://www.nj.gov/mvc/pdf/vehicles/SP-68.pdf. There is a $4 fee for the temporary placard, which is paid by check or money order made out to the NJMVC. Temporary placards are valid for up to six months.
